Recruiting Interested Participants

Looking for participants to be involved in a three month long community arts project about Water and Health and the Health of Water in Patan, Lalitpur.

The project is entitled ‘Jeewn Jal’ and will start in the first week of April and run until the end of June.

Chosen participants will be supported by project facilitators to explore questions about: water, health and community in Patan. We will speak and involve with people from across sectors of society (medical research, policy, religious groups) to gather a collective picture of how we understand and might be able to take better care of this precious resource and ourselves.

The project will use creative and artistic methods to research and express what we think and feel about the issues and will end in an exhibition and event in central Patan.

You don’t have to be an artist. We are looking for 8 people from a range of backgrounds.

Are you 18-30 years of age?
Are you someone creative and alert, who cares about people, community and health and wants to do something to make a difference?
Can you demonstrate an interest in a relevant field such as public health, Patan’s heritage, urban planning or traditional and contemporary arts?
Do you have the time and energy to commit to one to two days of collaborative work per week from the beginning of April to the end of June?

This is an opportunity to learn a range of visual research methods and to think about the role that art can play in making social change.

Materials will be provided and participants will each receive a certificate of participation and a small compensation for time and expenses.

We will be interviewing potential participants in the week beginning 21st March.
